This week has been extremely difficult in terms of motivation, knowing that the rest of my work is all computer based is really unmotivating me, spending 8-10 hours a day in front of a screen is not that appealing. Luckily, I overcame this and just cracked on because I am really happy that this week, I completed all of the content necessary for my book! 170 pages later and all the research and content has been collected. I have filled out all the pages on the InDesign file, but I will still need to make it look good in terms of the layout and graphics. This week I also arranged the CBT pages in order with help from someone who has been through the CBT experience which was extremely helpful. So, each page is now in the order which will allow the user to gather the right knowledge and coping tools in the most effective way.
I have started to think a lot about the final hand in, I managed to identify the printer company that I am going to use to produce the final product. Astute from Forfar are going to assist me by printing it off but they are unable to bind it in stab stitch style but I think I done a good job doing this for the mark 2 prototype so that is not a huge issue. I had a brief chat with Andrew this week which made me start thinking about the video, he suggested that I could possibly do a documentary type video to try get my point across. This may be an option, but it is something that I am going to have to put a lot of thought into next week. I am also putting a good amount of time into my project booklet, I never realised how big a job this was going to be, but I am getting through it with good pace so that’s positive. I am continuing the create illustrations too for the journal alongside my friend and illustrator. We have created a good setup that she does the outline of the images and I colour them in, so they are looking great so far.
There isn’t too much to show in the blog as it is all factors which contribute to the final project, they aren’t the finished result yet but here’s a sample of an illustration.
